Finally made it to LASA Sandwiches & Pearls after more than a month after its grand opening. Heard their sandwiches always sold out so it was just wise to wait it out.

North Seattle has a lot of restaurants worth checking out. You just gotta know where to look. One of them is Don Lucho's Restaurant & Pisco Bar, a short 10 minute drive from downtown Seattle. Definitely worth the trip if you love Peruvian food!

Still recovering from my surgery less than 2 weeks ago, we made our way to Queen Anne to try this chicken joint called Sisters and Brothers. They serve Southern-inspired friend chicken and sides with al fresco dining.

I may have found my go-to spot for a sammich and it's only less than a 5 minute drive from the apartment. Craving for some Caribbean grub? Bongo's Seattle is the real deal!

If there's one thing that I don't like about moving from Lynnwood to Seattle it's gotta be the lack of good food spots near our apartment. Don't get me wrong, Northwest Seattle has A LOT of really good restaurants but they are scattered all over the area. In Lynnwood, all we had to do was go to 2 or 3 places and everything was there.

We got Jack-in-the-Box, Taco Bell and Fu Shen within walking distance. That's it. (Not that I'd walk around this neighborhood 💀 )

So imagine how stoked I was when I saw this corner lot that used to be a second hand car dealership turn into a taco food truck. (Slush is gross btw.)

Call it weird but other than 1 or 2 dishes along with maybe 2 to 3 restaurants in Manila, I don't really miss Filipino food at all. I am down to try new spots, though, Filipino or not. So, we outchea!

You know what's the best part about checking out an outlet mall that you have never been to?

This noodle soup joint has been our go to whenever it's cold/wet. It's in Edmonds, WA which is a short drive from Lynnwood.

Welcome to Wonton Noodle House!

They weren't kidding when they named this place "Best..." Drove past it maybe over a dozen times and finally decided to give it a try yesterday. Service was fast and the food was really good. Ordered the chicken/katsu combo which was enough for 2 people. The chicken teriyaki was tasty and the katsu was fried perfectly.

Welcome to Best Sushi & Teriyaki Lynwood, WA!

Ever since moving to Washington state, supporting local businesses have been our M.O. and today was no different. We were feenin' for some really good fried chicken so we made our way to the one and only, Seattle's best, Ezell's Famous Chicken.

If ever you make it out to QC between Wednesday to Saturday, hit up this spot tucked in a quiet neighborhood near Maginhawa Street. They are known for their kare-kare burrito and mac n cheese wrap but what blew my mind tonight was their Japanese-style fried chicken wrap. Also order their nacho potato crisp. Looks so-so when served but it's one of the best on the menu. Bravo @buen.comer! See you again next week! (There are more seats in the back but watching them work their magic while you enjoy your meal is one food truck meal experience you'll savor for a while.) #CASHMEOUSSIDEHOWBOWDAH

BETTER AND TASTIER

The other night after the Kobe event Mark, Moy, The New Guy and I stopped by B&T Mexican Kitchen on the corner of Ortigas and Madison for dinner (intersection before Ronac Art Center). I've been hearing about this joint for a few months now but for some reason I never bothered going even though I love Mexican food. I was still stuffed from Araneta and didn't really feel like eating so I told Mark we'll just share whatever they decide to order.

I was more excited to see and chat with Philip (the owner) than the actual food. All that changed when the food was served.

Welcome to B&T

ALL MAXED OUT

I think I'm turning into a Yes Man. I can't believe I said yes to Paolo after he asked me if I wanted to try Max's latest promo. I am not a big eater nor am I a fan of Max's chicken but since I had nothing else better to do on a Thursday night, I decided to go for it.

I sent a spam text to my contact list and asked if anybody else was down. I got some funny replies. One dude said he had five servings before he realized he was allergic to chicken. OMFG! Hahahahaha.

Man vs. Food PI style? Let's go!

The flyer

Welcome

Ensaymada looked good but I had to pass. ALL CHICKEN EVERYTHING for tonight!

Our server. "165 pesos (US$3.50) for chicken all-you-can but no sharing." Did she really think? 0_o

Okay now it's working again

This design must be five years old since Max's is on its 65th year

Round 1. Breast and wing. Here we go! Chicken was served in quarter pieces.

After one minute. It was gooooooood!

Round 2. Breast and wing. After a 10 minute-wait.

Round 3. Thigh and leg. Then the chicken kept coming.

Round 4. Breast and wing. Bring it on!

Round 5. Breast and wing. Here's when I started to slow down.

Round 6. Thigh and leg. Nausea took over.

Round 7. Thigh and leg. I had to stand up and walk around before this.

The chicken started to taste funny (or maybe it was my body's way of telling me to stop) so I ordered this. BEST. DRINK. EVAR.

I could've gone for more but it was already past closing time. Paolo only had 2 while Miko had 3 servings.

Miko ordered some food to go. Then he jacked a piece of chicken and wrapped it in napkin. How ghetto. Ha ha.

Skull and bones!

I am done.

No more Max's for me until 2011.

Look at what Carla brought me from her hometown of Iloilo! Not the Jordan Wings poster you silly. The box of cookies! I love cookies! Chewy ones!

Mrs. Fields-like texture with mango chewies. Yum!

I'll take Shikko's box if he still hasn't gotten it from you.

Is my neighbor pet sitting your cat well? Good thing you didn't leave him with me. I just found out one of our cats died recently due to dehydration. Rest in pusa.
