What Do You Know About OGs?

| Posted in | Posted on Saturday, May 31, 2008

Went out for my dad's birthday dinner with the fam. Hotel buffet was closed so I suggested we go to this old Chinese restaurant in Greenhills. Sun Moon Garden ain't no Summer Palace but the food is just as good, if not better.

Sun Moon Garden Restaurant
G/F Shoppesville, Greenhills Shopping Center
San Juan, Metro Manila
Tel: 721-0856, 721-1356

OG resto

Shanghai fried rice, birthday noodles, salt and pepper spareribs, beef with fresh asparagus, fried chicken, lapu-lapu, shrimp and chicken salad (warm), steamed kangkong with garlic and almond lychee

* HIK *

Greenhills. Not so OG anymore.

Pano x HDR

Again I ask, what do you know about OGs?

My dad turns 60 today. He's been through a lot (no thanks to me and my siblings) and he continues to struggle with the daily challenges of life. He's 60. He should be retired already. Enjoying life. Not dealing with all this bullshit that's going on right now. Not with his heart condition.

I gave him a kiss as soon as I heard him go down the stairs and greeted him a happy birthday. I rarely kiss my dad and I hope it won't be the last.

I'm close to tears.

He deserves better.

Happy birthday and we love you all.

My dad and I. Early 80's

I love my barber. He's all about precision haircutting and always takes his time working on my hair. I'd say an average of 45 minutes per visit. Free iced tea + head and back massage + free Wi-Fi access = Best 240 pesos spent (140 for the haircut, 100 for tip).

If you're looking for a good barber and an affordable alternative, visit Gruppo Barbero along Tomas Morato (next to Shakey's) and look for my man Dennis. Call ahead for an appointment. 426-4012, 924-0694.

I was famished and decided to get some comfort food nearby

Country fried steak with rosemary potatoes and crunchy egg (a must try)

Pancakes on the side

Coconut syrup (clear one) is the best!

Say what!?

For my readers from the motherland.

If you're too well-versed to understand some of the words I use on this site, then please feel free to use the Urban Dictionary. It's fun and it's free. Expand your vocabulary. It never hurts to learn more.

What's with women using hyphenated last names?

If you refuse to fully embrace your husband's name, then choose one below.

- Retain your maiden name

- File for a divorce or better yet, DON'T GET MARRIED

I see it disrespectful and lame for a woman to use a hyphenated name unless you're an Ayala or a Cojuangco. 99.99% of you are neither.

Choose one. Either your maiden name or your husband's name. Plain and simple.

There's a reason why it's called LAST NAME.

And I'll raise you one.

My man, my Nike road dog.

Hang in there. Time will come when we'll be kings again. I know it.

Hong Kong is still waiting for us. Dimsum all day all night. Countless sneaker stores. MTR rides. Tourists during the day, clowns come night time. Hypebeast HQ raid. HK summit with kookies and pake13 aka ATAR1. I shout Wei! You scream Tsing Tsao!

Let's not compare our misfortunes. I have too many jokes to share with you. Beer + good company + funny stories = As classic as a pair of your favorite unbutchered Air Jordans

Life is indeed a joke. A cruel one at that. I say let's just poke fun at ourselves and those damn Niketalkers. Ha ha.

I told you earlier that you'd be featured on this site someday. I bet you didn't think it would be this soon.

Man up. Stay up. And throw your middle finger up.

Coz in the end, you're still you, I'm still me and NOBODY can fuck with that.

I AM...

I am Latrell Sprewell. No PJ Carlesimo.
I am Barry Bonds. No HGH.
I am Dave Chappelle. No Comedy Central.

Is this bad?

Look at my Freecell stats

No, I'm not asking about my losing streak or win percentage.

Look at the number of games played!

What happened Usher?

| Posted in | Posted on Sunday, May 25, 2008

I downloaded Usher's new album this morning entitled "Here I Stand." Listened to every track several times. Now I've been an Usher fan since his '97 and I've been waiting for this album to drop since early this year.

My thoughts
- Too many tracks
- What happened to all those fuck me songs he's known for? :(
- I can only name 4 or 5 fav tracks, maybe 2 outstanding ones
- Man that track with Will.I.Am is trash

Some tracks you should try listening to
- Trading Places
- Love You Gently
- Best Thing feat. Jay-Z
- Before I Met You
- His Mistakes
- What's a Man To Do
- Lifetime
- Love In This Club Part 2 feat. Beyonce and Lil Wayne

Usher - Here I Stand

I give this album 3 out of 5 stars.

I'm in love!

I'm not a fan of the whole Fusion concept by Jordan Brand but I can't pass up on this release. The Air Jordan III is my second all-time fav Jordan (next to Air Jordan IV black/red). Combining the uppers of Air Jordan III with the soles of Air Force I solves my problem of old Jordans dying on me (cracked midsoles). This is the only time that my hate for Gentry is subdued.

These 3 and I'm done for the year.

Fusion IIIs

Black/cement and white/cement FTW!

Black inner padding, black tab (no more yellowing), cement print on the lace panels and contrast stitching = WINRAR!

Nike Philippines, you there?

Wash, rinse, repeat

My dad is a G. He'll turn 60 next week and look at what he sent me earlier. "What time are you going home? I have a party to go to."

It was wet...

not so crowded...

and serene.

The new cook disappoints me. The food she cooks tastes bland. As bland as fappin to Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick while she utters "Yata!" It's as if she's cooking for the elderly and sick. Pass the Ensure please.

Shout outs to SD's NUMBERO (Yes, I said NUMBERO) UNO, my HK connect i2cky, my Japan hook up KATS and my WAMU agent 805. Me luv you all long time me suky suky five dolla happy ending. Yes Castro.

So it turns out...

You've been going around town, telling your "friends" about your story. YOUR LIES.

I've kept my mouth shut. Don't make me fucking air you out like a pair of old Jordans.

I got so much shit on you Brian Gorrell's blog will look like a Sunday paper comic strip compared to mine.

You're messing with the wrong person.

I hate blogs. I don't even know why I started one. I prolly enjoy 1% of the blogs I read. Don't expect this one to be interesting. I'll update this regularly with photos. My own photos. And whatever I find interesting.

Breakfast. New cook. Took a while before food was served. It's alright though. It was worth the wait.
