I don't usually repost stuff but this unfortunate event made my heart bleed.
Van kills 10-year-old boy inside Ateneo campus
Same school.
Same age.
Same grade level.
That could've been my son.
I'm in tears now.

I received a message about a quickstrike dinner with my homie visiting from LA-LA LAnd who also visited a few months back. I was surprised that he was in town again but nevertheless I wanted to meet up with him since we didn't get to do much last time he was around.
Ten minutes after leaving the house, I received a call and was informed that the dinner was cancelled because of a change in flight schedule. I was bummed. Good thing I had other things lined up that night. I met up with my godsister (is there even such a thing) and my inked homey Mykhan to discuss a future project.
Saw this deli along Timog Ave. while looking for a place to eat. I snapped most of the photos after the place closed at 10pm. You should visit it soon. I love this deli. I love the whole set-up. I love the food!
There's a menu but you can also choose from their wide selection of meats and cheeses.
Yum!

Meat
Cheese
The kitchen was spotless after it closed its doors. Something I rarely see in other joints.
Hello chef
Chillin' on the second floor
Cheese steak sammich. Two thumbs up.
Doing bigger things soon
Time to leave
After dinner Mykhan brought me to one of the spots he frequents. At first I was like enh but then I couldn't complain since we got hooked up with some free stuff.
Mojito
Goldschläger aka liver-killer aka ulcer-giver. My all-time fav liqueur

I first learned about Anthony Bourdain's visit to the Philipines on Chuvaness.com. For days locals kept track of his every move as his show NO RESERVATIONS is popular to those who can afford cable television.
I was surprised when I finally saw the episode. The show got the wrong dude to host the show's host. Sorry Augusto but you totally sucked. I'm guessing that one of your relatives work for the show that's why you were picked. It was awkward and painful to watch your segments. Even Anthony Bourdain felt uneasy around you. I mean shiiiiiit. You don't even know how to properly display the Philippine flag when in vertical position!
Kudos to the other hosts though. I can't wait to go to a DAMPA soon!
To those who haven't watched it yet, click on the videos below.

I got home from work a little before 5am and started doing my laundry. After 3 loads and 3 hours I hit the sheets looking to get a good 6 hour sleep. I got up around 4pm and started folding my clothes. It was so freaking hot my clothes only took a couple of hours to line dry.
Sunday is my time out. Time out from work. From my coworkers. From my regular routine. I always like to switch it up.
Today I didn't feel like dressing up so I put on a Tee (you'll rarely see me in one) and headed South to try this upscale burger and wine resto.
Yessir! You read that right.
BURGERS AND WINES
Something you should try instead of always having your burger with a glass of soda.
I saw this place on ClicktheCity.com and became curious after I read the review.
It's a bit expensive but worth every peso. The Chiraz house wine brought out more flavor of the grilled meat. Something I really enjoyed down to the last bite.
Photographs for you
The menu
Drinks list
Desserts
The bar
Wine up!
Wedges
Spicy burger
Cheers y'all. Much love to my brother in Canada for the Tee. Photo hand picked by C to the M.
Visit Murray & D'Vine at Serendra, The Fort if you're a Robot who doesn't let other Robots drink alone.

Banapple has become my main spot for good grub after the Friday shift (which ends at 6am Saturday). The place is so small it gets packed within 15 minutes so I make sure I get there before the doors open at 7:30am. My coworkers and I will try every item on the menu until we get sick of the place.
I've already received a number of thank yous from people who have visited this joint after I first posted it. They all loved the food!
I'm sure you'll love it too.
Photos!

The resemblance is uncanny. Not!
Last Saturday. Chicken sammich.
What I had earlier. Chicken Parmigiana FTMFW!!!
Nothing to do on a Saturday morning?
Join us for good food and some laughs.

After watching the boring NBA All-Star game, I headed to my dentist for another Monday appointment at 2pm. I left the house early looking to get a quick bite at Banapple but since it was hella packed again and there was no vacant parking space I went straight to Shangri-la Mall.
Traffic was heavy along Ortigas Ave. so I took the Julia Vargas route.
BAD DECISION
As I was about to accelerate from a full stop, this stupid street sweeper stepped back from the center island and hit my side mirror. I swear it looked like he did it on purpose. He looked at the car and started wincing in pain as if I shot him with an arrow to his balls.
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?
I was going around 10 km/h and the side mirror folded upon impact. It was impossible for him to have gotten hurt.
Then some stupid cab driver 3 vehicles behind me started shouting "HIT AND RUN, HIT AND RUN!" Wow. Another idiot. He didn't even see what happened.
A traffic enforcer pulled me over and I obliged because I knew I didn't hurt the man.
Before I knew it, I was surrounded by more than 20 traffic enforcers and cops. My path was blocked by 3 squad cars!!! You'd think I was the most wanted man in the Philippines.
Talk about OD. SMH
The first traffic enforcers who arrived at the scene started shouting at me without even finding out what really happened. That ticked me off. The street sweeper didn't even have a valid complaint yet these fuckers were taking his side already because according to them, it was a hit and run.
OMG!!! YOU ARE SUCH IDIOTS!!!
They wanted to take me in to 3 different places but I said no. I knew it would've been game over for me if I went with them. I stayed inside the vehicle the whole time.
I talked to the dude I hit because according to the traffic enforcers and cops I spoke with, the street sweeper's right arm and elbow were severely injured. Swollen. Black and blue. O'RLY? I tricked that fucker into raising his left sleeve using his supposedly injured arm. Then I asked him to compare his right arm and left arm. The dude straight kicked himself in the face after the cops saw that there was really nothing wrong with him. No broken bones, no dislocation, no swelling, not even a single scratch.
WHAT A FRAUD!!!
He obviously wanted to milk me for some quick cash.
I left the scene after a 2 hour stand off with not even a ticket.
STAY AWAY FROM STREET SWEEPERS!!!
You'll never know. They might be part of a modus operandi.
Photos for your enjoyment
The first ones at the scene
Put people in the middle of the streets in the middle of the day and what do you get?
All the shouting made me hungry so I stopped by Pepper Lunch Shangri-la Mall
Manak
I finally arrived at the clinic two and a half hours after my scheduled appointment.
OH KNOEZ!!!
Spit bowl
Pew pew pew
My dentist and I
She said I should've karate chopped the dude who tried to fraud me.
HI-YAAAH!
Thanks Kim! Hopefully I won't be late again for my next appointment.
Lessons learned from this encounter:
1. Know your rights and fight for them. Unless you've obviously done something wrong. Do not get out of your vehicle.
2. Never piss off the cops. My game plan was to get them on my side the whole time. I shook the hand of ever cop who came to my window and spoke to them in a gentle manner.
3. Be aware of your surroundings. You'll never know if people are just trying to pull a fast one on you.
I would like to thank the Pasig police for being patient the whole time. Also to the dudes who kept me company on the phone and provided names for me to drop just in case. I never did have to drop names.
SOCIAL SKILLS FTFMW!!!

A couple of months ago my coworker brought a box of delicious pastries from his native province 5 hours north of Metro Manila. They were so damn good we started calling them space cakes even though there was no funny ingredient included in preparing these goodies.
His last trip to his hometown, I asked him to buy me a box of my favorite. This one has coconut macaroons in the middle!
YUM
Don't even bother hitting me up for a box.
Jammi crosses 3 rivers and rides a carabao for 8 hours just to get these.

I'm back at the gym twice a week after a 6 year hiatus.
Not trying to be a body builder or a power lifter. Heck I'm not even looking to lose weight.
I just want to work it out.
Now sing with me...
Ayyyyyyy
Now Work It Out
Now Work It Out
Now Work It Out
Now Work It Out
Now Work It Out
Now Walk It Out
Now Work It Out
Now Work It Out
West Side Work It Out
South Side Work It Out
East Side Work It Out
North Side Work It Out
