I got a message at 2am from wardrobe stylist Mara Reyes asking about the black/cement Air Jordan IIIs coming out next month and if Titan will be getting them. I said sure then she asked if I was getting one. I was like nahhh I still have my 2001 pair. (They're beat up, though, not jock worn but because of the weather.)

After a few moments it hit me, how can I pass on them when THEY ARE MY ALL-TIME FAV!? I skipped the 2008 release because that 3/20 Countdown Pack was a joke. People basically paid $310 to get the IIIs and were stuck with the ugly Black Cat XXs nobody wanted.

So yes, I'm gonna join the madness and rekindle my love for Air Jordans. (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XVI, XX, XXI and XXIII) That would be one less size 10/10.5 for you. :p

One would think that wL's customers would be dry by now but they still came, the earliest at 6am. That's three straight Saturdays of Nike SB drops!

Magazines that feature half naked girls with sneakers are nice to look at but lettuce be cereal, that shit gets old quick. Real women who rock kicks? Now that's something I dig. Females with true passion for sneakers > paid models.

Am I the only one that gets bothered by people wearing on-field fitteds with THE BIG ASS STICKER still on the brim? I know how many people love to leave the gold sticker on their fitteds but you do know that you can take THE BIG ASS STICKER off and leave the gold one, right? No? Then watch this.

You know what's great about we Legendary's loyal customers? They already know what the routine is. Come early and you will get your pair. Arrive late and you will still end up buying something nice even after a certain shoe has sold out. In the end, everyone goes home happy. :)

Earlier this week I got a message from "Madman" Wong saying that we Legendary's resident videographer Jayson was moving to NorCal for good on Wednesday. Then I got another message saying his flight got pushed back to Saturday. Finally, Wednesday night I found out that Jayson was booked to leave Friday night. (Philippine Airlines FTL)

I received a notice from the post office the other day telling me to pick up a parcel but since I wasn't expecting anything in the mail I stayed up all night asking friends and family online if they sent something. Found out my cousin from SF sent me a birthday gift and it took forever to get here. (PhilPost should be privatized)

Could it be... NIKE MAGs? Maybe not but I still love what she sent! One word. GOLD! Thanks cousin. ♥

If you're an 80's baby like me you grew up watching Full House, Who's the Boss, Saved by the Bell and had a sister or a female relative influenced by these shows with high teased hair, leggings, slouched socks and a pair of Keds. I swear everybody and their mommas rocked a pair of Keds. Heck, even I had one. Purple canvas high tops! (Don't tell anyone)

If you've been buying Air Jordans EARLY from Promo Shoes, Air Randy, Marquee Sole, SDS, VMV, other similar online stores or local resellers and you think you're the shit, well, think again. You've been had. Yup, YOU'VE BEEN HAD. I know this is gonna piss a lot of people off even my friends but the truth is none of these sites sell LEGITIMATE stuff EARLY.

It's either they're selling stolen goods, surplus, or high quality fakes. DEFINITELY NOT THE OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE.

Fellow NT'er and ex-Nike employee Rock Deep also shed some light on the said sites. Make sure you comb through the entire thread to get a clear picture on why you should never buy sneakers months ahead of the release date...

With the black/cement Jordan III and concord Jordan XI crazes upon us I say have faith, wait for the actual release date and support your local retailers. You're gonna have to camp out for them but isn't that what makes sneaker collecting more enjoyable? The whole experience of putting in work just to get your most coveted pair is way better than paying above retail for a dubious pair and ending up reading stuff like this online. (It burns, doesn't it?)

Sometimes a little patience goes a long way.
