THREE CAMERAS

While majority of the metropolis prepared for Justin Timberlake's concert, I embarked on a road trip to Manila with Shikko, Carla and Karla. The agenda? To have my lens fixed and accompany my friends as they shop for stuff.

Karla needed some giveaways for her wedding next month, Carla had her eyes on Hidalgo St. for a new camera and Shikko wanted a balloon. A big yellow hotdog-shaped one.

Karla found what she was looking for, Carla ended up buying a Lumix LX3 and Shikko, well he didn't get his balloon.

7am call time. I hate waiting. I hate dirty cars.

As usual, Shikko was late.

That's Carla. She's not throwing a peace sign. She was about to poke my eyes for buying coffee which according to her tasted like paint. Booooo you! I love 7-11's Banana Cappuccino.

Movie theaters in old-school Manila never fail to amuse me. ZOMG! Do you see the ghost?

Karla ordering a bajillion pieces of I dunno what

Lunch by the dirty creek in Chinatown! Villar wasn't around.

Hole in the wall camera repair shop. Asked 2,000 pesos to fix my lens with a wait time of 1 week. I said no with the quickness.

We went to one of the biggest stores in the area to try my luck

This dude asked for more but he said he could fix it in 1.5 hours. I said yes since the whole store looked legit. 2.5 hours later, my lens was totally destroyed. I left the store with 3 plastic bags with over a hundred parts of what used to be my lens. Damn fucker couldn't even put them back together. AVOID D' NEW ACEL PHOTOGRAPHY!!! Now I'm stuck with only a prime lens. :( If you love this blog and have money to spare, please donate to my Tamron 18-270mm fund by clicking on the Paypal Donate button. :)

"Kudos on holding back, I can't believe you were so calm the whole time. If that were me I would've gone Rambo on his stupid ass." What can I say? That's what close to 10 years of marriage and a nasty separation do to people. Zing!

The walk back to Chinatown

I love the streets of Manila

Another interesting Filipino flick. Shikko said there's an option to get extra service in the theater for only 50 pesos. He was prolly talking from experience? GROSS.

I dropped off Carla and Karla then proceeded to S&R before heading home. Shikko in a black tee, straight Quezon Circle status. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I got home past 9pm, showered then crashed after I found out that my notebook was dead. AGAIN. :( But man oh man that was a fun day! We survived Tutuban, Divisoria, Chinatown and Quiapo. Good thing it wasn't as hot and not as crowded. I ain't even sad at what happened to my lens. I know when and how to take a L.

Life goes on.

kingcrux31 goes on.

Forever and ever.

NT's 75 Partly Cloudy, better known as Dom Kennedy is back with his latest album entitled "From The Westside With Love." You can download it HERE. With the way I listen to music these tracks will be getting a lot of play the next few weeks.

Edith must be proud.

EARTHQUAKE!!!

I was in the batcave looking at some old Jannine Barredo photos when things started shaking violently. My 10' x 5' shelf almost tipped over. For a second there I thought I was imagining things so I hit up my homey Google and found this SITE. Info about the earthquake was up within seconds. I posted it on facebook along with dozens of friends who felt the earth move under their feet. They also felt the sky tumbling down.

All together now!

Forgive me if you see me driving around the city with this on the back of the vehicle. My family has decided to support the presidentiable I least like.

I loved Ninoy and appreciated what Cory did for the Philippines but I don't see Noynoy (some call him Noynoy abnoy who plays video games with Josh until 5am) winning unless there'll be another death in the Aquino family before the May elections. And Kris catching another STD won't help at all. She needs to stop being the most annoying person on local television if she wants to help her brother win.

Who am I rooting for then?

Here's my list

President - Gilbert Teodoro, Jr. (Harvard Law, 'nuff said)

Vice-President - Manuel Roxas, II (if Villar wins, Mar will become president even before Villar's term is done - trust me on this one)

Senators
1. Miriam Defensor Santiago (only a fool would go against this fool)
2. Juan Ponce Enrile
3. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. (is it true that the real Bongbong died a long time ago?)
4. Jovito Palparan, Jr. (maybe he'll straighten fellow crooked congressmen)
5. Gilbert Remulla
6. Sonia Roco (long live Raul!)
7. Vicente Sotto III (I'd rather vote for an aging comedian than a bad action star)
8. Adel Tamano (I still can't stop laughing whenever I think of him replacing that ugly ex-lawyer of Belo, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)
9. Francisco Tatad (the Philippines can always use a hardliner in the senate)
10. Pia Cayetano (the only Senator who graced the cover of a tasteless magazine)
11. Loren Legarda (I know she's running for Vice-President but she has no business going against Mar Roxas)
12. Gerry Geronimo (He's not running but I'd still vote for him like what I've done in the past 4 elections, hahahahaha)

SUNDAY SCARE

I got up with only two hours of sleep to do two loads of laundry. If you're new to this site, yes I do my own laundry. The maids only get to touch my clothes when I ask one of them to iron my dress shirts.

When I turned on my laptop I saw this. :(

It felt like it was SF 2007 again when my old Toshiba died from the blue screen of death. Luckily, it wasn't that bad and I only needed a copy of Windows Vista to repair the error. Thanks a million to my brother Pong. You're a life saver! The fix didn't even take five minutes.

Thank you also to those who replied to my text message about the recovery disc. For some reason my laptop didn't come with one. Maybe because I was qualified for a free Windows 7 upgrade?

Hmmm...

Mark (wL) wasn't in town so we held down the fort for the release of the underrated Omar Salazar SBs. You better cop your pair before stocks are all gone!
