PAYMENTS OF PATIENCE

Looking for new music? Well, look no further.

Pittsburgh rapper (and NikeTalk member) Yury drops his latest project, a 12-track album entitled Still Life. With dope tracks like DeLorean, Subjective, Worry, Drugs and Anomaly, this album will get some heavy rotation in my regular routine. I've listened to each track about 5 times and I can safely say that this is his best work to date. He's definitely grown as a lyricist and a producer since the last time I featured him HERE.

I am not a Kanye West fan but I am a huge fan of his music (if that makes any sense). I never start nor end my day without listening to my favorite tracks and for the past few weeks I've been bumpin' some of his classic joints. With new materials coming from today's biggest artists, Kanye pulls a surprising comeback with "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." I have gone through the whole album more than ten times non-stop and I see how it can easily be a candidate for album of the year.

Funny how some people on twitter and facebook swore Kid Cudi's album is better. Bitch please. The new Cudi album sounds like Dr. Alban. If you're too young to even know who he is then Google it. I don't understand how people still complain though. Y'all must've forgotten how horrible the last Kanye album was. This one? An instant classic.

Download the clean version HERE.

"Things used to be, now they not
Anything but us is who we are
Disguising ourselves as secret lovers
We've become public enemies
We walk away like strangers in the street
Gone for eternity
We erased one another
So far from where we came
With so much of everything, how do we leave with nothing
Lack of visual empathy equates the meaning of L-O-V-E
Hatred and attitude tear us entirely"

San Francisco's DJ Shortkut straight killed it last night!

Great seeing old faces. It totally felt like I was back in the 90's!

Do you remember when I accompanied my cousin from SF a couple of months ago to go vinyl shopping around Metro Manila? We were at Cubao X when she played this old track which caught my attention. I couldn't find it on youtube so I uploaded my own.

Let me know what you think.

Enjoy!

They don't make 'em like this anymore (click to play)

Lupe Fiasco should use this beat for a future track.

My favorite rapper of all time.

TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR

The best there ever was, the best there ever will be.

He's been dead for over a decade now (or hiding somewhere with Elvis and Bruce Lee) but I still listen to his music regularly.

Watch his best and last recorded performance at the House of Blues with Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Nate Dogg, Outlaw Immortalz and crackheads K-Ci & Jojo

13 parts worth the watch

Did you see all those hoodrats go up the stage after the last song?

lol

Do you listen to John Legend?

Do you like his music?

Love it?

You do?

I do too!

You'll love this old album entitled "Solo Sessions Vol. 1 Live from The Knitting Factory." It took me more than 24 hours to find it online but it was worth all the trouble. I re-upped the album (cover below) and you can download it HERE. It was recorded in 2003 and released the following year. This is by far the purest recording of John Legend featuring performances by J. Ivy, Imani Uzuri and Kanye West.

Enjoy.
