So last week I was invited by our good friends from adidas Philippines to participate in a basketball pick up game, which doubled as the press conference and launch of the adiZero Crazy Light 2, adidas' latest basketball footwear. Media people were treated to an afternoon of fun at the Moro Lorenzo Gym where participants and guests all got laced up with the lightest basketball shoe ever.
I was a bit scurred coming here since I haven't played played basketball in years. I seriously thought I was gonna embarrass myself, get hurt and end up in crutches.
Is this still the same floor that was used in Oracle Arena during the 2000 NBA All-Star Game?

Switching from from the adiZero Rose 2.5 (well-paded to thin uppers) these kinda felt funny at first but after doing drills these babies conformed well to my feet. It didn't even feel like I was wearing basketball sneakers. They were THAT comfortable. Fit and cushioning were also top-notch.

No photos of the drills since I was part of it. I'm very thankful we went through them otherwise I would've fainted on the court. I didn't score but my team won. Woot!

Shout outs to Mike, Jason, Ryan and the rest of adidas Philippines! That has to be the most fun I have experienced in a press conference.
Surprisingly, I wasn't that sore the following day. Limbering up before a game really does help.
