Went out for my dad's birthday dinner with the fam. Hotel buffet was closed so I suggested we go to this old Chinese restaurant in Greenhills. Sun Moon Garden ain't no Summer Palace but the food is just as good, if not better.

My dad turns 60 today. He's been through a lot (no thanks to me and my siblings) and he continues to struggle with the daily challenges of life. He's 60. He should be retired already. Enjoying life. Not dealing with all this bullshit that's going on right now. Not with his heart condition.

I gave him a kiss as soon as I heard him go down the stairs and greeted him a happy birthday. I rarely kiss my dad and I hope it won't be the last.

I'm close to tears.

He deserves better.

I love my barber. He's all about precision haircutting and always takes his time working on my hair. I'd say an average of 45 minutes per visit. Free iced tea + head and back massage + free Wi-Fi access = Best 240 pesos spent (140 for the haircut, 100 for tip).

What's with women using hyphenated last names?

Seriously.

If you refuse to fully embrace your husband's name, then choose one below.

- Retain your maiden name

or

- File for a divorce or better yet, DON'T GET MARRIED

I see it disrespectful and lame for a woman to use a hyphenated name unless you're an Ayala or a Cojuangco. 99.99% of you are neither.

Choose one. Either your maiden name or your husband's name. Plain and simple.

There's a reason why it's called LAST NAME.

I downloaded Usher's new album this morning entitled "Here I Stand." Listened to every track several times. Now I've been an Usher fan since his '97 and I've been waiting for this album to drop since early this year.

I'm not a fan of the whole Fusion concept by Jordan Brand but I can't pass up on this release. The Air Jordan III is my second all-time fav Jordan (next to Air Jordan IV black/red). Combining the uppers of Air Jordan III with the soles of Air Force I solves my problem of old Jordans dying on me (cracked midsoles). This is the only time that my hate for Gentry is subdued.

These 3 and I'm done for the year.
