Sharing a dope video my cousin's husband, Dennis, put together. I didn't even know he was part of the group until I saw him post this on facebook. Really cool dude IMO. I've always admired his body (no homo) and his karaoke prowess. He is also my dad's favorite during karaoke nights at the Perez's San Leandro home. The coolest thing about him? We share the same passion for Air Jordans.

Enjoy the one hour clip. I know I did. It brought back memories of when I was a kid and I'd watch my brothers Herbert, Ferdinand and even Christopher battle other kids on makeshift Linoleum floors. Also grew up with SL1200s and hundreds of vinyls in the basement. This was waaaaay before DJing became a profitable and respectable job. There was also a time when you'd see my tags all over the metropolis. MCing? Tried that too. Ha ha. I got all the elements of hip-hop on lock. I'm so cool. Unlike most of you posers who karaoke rap over tracks and DJ because it's the in thing right now. SMH. I guess everyone has to start from somewhere. Too bad you started 20 years late. Kidding!

Oh yeah, I can dance too. :D Peep my mom in the back rocking The Three Stripes.

People from the Philippines always ask what connection I am on because whenever they visit my site, it takes for the photos and videos forever to load. If you are a DSL user, I suggest you switch to Destiny cable Internet. I've been a subscriber for the past eight or so years and it's the fastest connection I've been on here in the Philippines. There was a time I was on DSL too but it was slow compared to cable Internet. I only pay 999 pesos monthly for the basic package and I am always satisfied with my download and upload speeds. The only downside is their customer service. Several years ago, I would call them regularly for my dose of stress. Ha ha. You should be good though if your lines run from a post straight to your house.

I know this is slow compared to speeds in the USA but in a land where DSL connection is slower than 56K, this is fast enough. I don't see your local basic DSL connection matching this. The upload speed has been limited to 25K in this photo. I don't like to share. Ha ha.

Oh, and nothing beats my old Destiny cable Internet connection. Uncapped cable modem FTMFW!!! Look!

Don't even ask me if SmartBro is any good. It's doo doo baby! Word to Dave Chappelle.

THE FC1114 TREATMENT

There was a time when I would go all out in showing a friend or a relative visiting from abroad around Metro Manila. From picking him/her up from the airport, to arranging hotel reservations, to car rental hook ups, to free cellphone use, to dining at swanky restaurants and getting hyphy in the club. Okay the last one was lame. Ha ha. But I'm sure you get the point.

Since I've been called "The Ambassador" many times, I make sure I always go out of my way to accommodate people. Good people. You reap what you sow. Na mean?

Several years ago, my main man from San Diego CJ aka John Lloyd (you can't find him now - EL OH EL) coined a term after he saw how fellow NT'er lionheart and I took care of fc1114 who was visiting from Chicago.

He branded it "THE fc1114 TREATMENT."

Since then, people would hit me up for this special.

I'm like WTF!?

All the good deeds stopped for some time. I don't even remember why. It just did.

I had to bring the special back when I found out fc1114 was gonna be in town. Only this time, no red carpet.

Dinner, drinks and 2 hours of window shopping.

Red Kimono. Las Vegas, New York, Australia, San Francisco and Los Angeles represent!

Bugsy's

You think you deserve "THE fc1114 TREATMENT?"

Hit me up and we'll work something out.

I hope you have extra luggage space to spare.

Don't you just hate it when someone close to you, say a relative or a friend, can be so ignorant?

I swear my parents and siblings can sometimes be the most racist people in the world.

My sister has this stupid cellphone alert and every time she receives a message I hear a kid say...

"Nay, nandiyan na yung Bumbay. Ano sasabihin ko, wala pa?"

For my non-Filipino speaking visitors, go figure.

FIRST PROBLEM

First day of 2009.

I woke up to this...

My neighbor lit up fireworks right underneath my cable internet line, melting its plastic jacket and exposing the core. I'm surprised I haven't lost signal yet. What used to be a tight line from the post to my room now sags about 15 feet from the ground. Gotta call my ISP to have the coaxial cable replaced before a garbage truck snags it.

For now all I can do is hold my breath and hope that my line holds.

SKY WARS

The openers were sent home early for New Year's eve and I made it home safely before it started getting crazy on the streets. Thanks boss!

It's been a tradition for Filipinos to welcome the new year with a bang. Literally. People spend thousands of pesos on fireworks and light up the sky to their heart's content. The only thing discouraged is firing your guns in the air. Gotta love the Philippines!

The light rain didn't stop people from showcasing their arsenal of fireworks. I filmed the sky for 20 minutes and welcomed 2009 by myself. Below is a 10 minute clip I recorded when the clock struck twelve midnight. One of the best videos I've recorded so far. Please do watch every second of it.

After the all the noise and smoke, I non-nonchalantly entered the house teary-eyed and was greeted by my dad with a kiss and a hug followed by my mom and my sister. I locked myself in the room for a good thirty minutes, missing media noche, because I just felt like crying. No tears rolled down my face though. 2008 was tough. I seriously can't see myself going through another year full of BS. I went downstairs, ate, went back up and hit the sheets but not before downing a can of beer.

2009, here I come...
