A couple of weeks ago, a lightning struck one of the coconut trees outside the house and exited through the brick wall, breaking its bottom half. I didn't know lightning kills trees. After several days, the leaves turned brown and dried coconuts started to fall one by one. When I got up this morning, my mom was so pissed. My dad decided to have the trees cut down. ALL OF THEM. 25 years. GONE.
At least now we don't have to worry about falling coconuts from the sky.
