Wanting to see more of the northern lights and since it was part of last night's forecast, ze wife and I drove down to the Seattle Ferry Terminal and hopped on the 8:45pm ferry to Bainbridge Island. The plan was to watch and enjoy the "lightshow" when we catch one of the last ferry rides back to the city.

Busy Saturday night.

Never seen so many people riding the ferry to Bainbridge Island, most of them heading home from the M's game. Also, it was prom night!

Bainbridge Island to Seattle ready to disembark.

First time taking the ferry here after sunset!

One of the most underrated skylines, IMHO.

Our third time visiting Bainbridge Island in as many weeks!

My float or die.

Everything was closed by the time we got to the island except for this joint that had a DJ play an all vinyl set until midnight!

Not sure what kind of night it was at Cafe Hitchcock but all the men wore printed button downs while grooving and moving with the ladies.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Lolol.

Brisk walked back to the dock to catch the midnight ferry back to the city.

Of course we missed it even though the service ran late all night. SMH.

After about an hour or so of waiting for the last ferry at 1:25am, we finally left Bainbridge Island around 20 minutes later.

How was the second night of chasing the northern lights? It was a bust. The forecast went from it showing at 9pm then moved to 11pm then between 2-5am, to finally nothing. All good, though. It turned out to be a cute, short but sweet out-of-town late-night date that I wouldn't change for anything, not even the stars.
